surrexit dominus vere !

St Gertrude prays in her Spiritual Excercises, I,40:

Lord Jesus Christ, great pontiff, who by your precious death have given me life, by the virtue of your Spirit blow away from me all the crafty devices of the enemy through the efficacy of your presence. Burst asunder in me all of Satan’s snares and, regardful of your compassion, put far from me all blindness of heart. Christ, may your perfect charity make me triumph viriliously over every temptation. May your holy humility teach me prudently to shun all snares of the enemy. May your luminous truth lead me an make me walk in your presence sincerely, with a perfect heart. And may the blessing of your most indulgent mercy come before and follow after and guard me until the very end of my life. Amen
